Hiram College is accepting applications for the position of Graduate Assistant in Academic and Professional Advising. This graduate assistantship is a 10-month, 20-hour per week position that runs from mid-August to mid-May. Contingent upon funding, the position may be renewed for a second year and may hold the possibility of supplemental summer employment to support continued student advising.

The Graduate Assistant in Academic and Professional Advising will work in an environment dedicated to advancing the mission of Hiram College. Responsibilities include advising support for Weekend College, Partnership, and Online students, select students in the traditional college, and coordination with other student support offices, including Career Services, Academic Support Services, and Student Life. This GA position will receive tuition remission and a yearly stipend of $7,000. Housing and other costs are not covered by this assistantship.
The Graduate Assistant in Academic and Professional Advising position will be awarded, competitively, to a student who has applied for the assistantship and who has been admitted to a Hiram College graduate program. A student must be enrolled full-time (i.e., at least six credit hours per semester) in the MAIS program.
