Position Summary
You will provide
advisement support to new and current undergraduates in the Jacobs School of Medicine and
Biomedical Sciences in this exciting role. As an Academic Advisor, you will:
- Aid students in academic planning and
advisement, registration, course selection and major requirements - Determine student’s eligibility in each major and engage in
proactive outreach to struggling students - Interpret academic and financial rules and regulations
- Assist with undergraduate
recruitment, presentations, marketing materials, and commencement - Assist students in academic planning related to the students’
abilities and interests

Minimum
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in an educational environment or advising. Equivalent combination
of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. - A genuine desire to work with undergraduate students and
demonstrated experience working with college students in a diverse and high-volume environment. - Demonstrated ability to work in a
collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in higher education or related
field. - Strong understanding of and experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including international
backgrounds. - Experience interpreting and applying academic policies.
- Marketing background is a plus
