Peer Adviser!

Lion Guides are knowledgeable student leaders that empower their peers to identify and utilize advising and
support resources that will lead to their personal and academic success. The Lion Guide motto is “Guide by example. Lead to success.”

Job Duties

  • Developing and facilitating engaging activities for Advising Center programs.
  • Providing
    logistical support to Advising Center programs.
  • Maintaining office hours in the Advising Center.
  • Engaging in mentoring
    activity for select Advising Center programs.
  • Maintaining social media accounts.
  • Participating in regular meetings and
    trainings.
  • Work during common hour and in the evening, as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher as of
    Fall 2021.
  • Penn State Harrisburg Student in Fall 2022 and Spring 2023.
  • Strong understanding of your academic
    plan.
  • Strong understanding of LionPATH, Starfish, Office365 and the Penn State website.
  • Strong time management,
    organization, and study skills.
  • People-oriented and engaging.
  • Regularly available in the evening and during common
    hour.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed at least 2 semesters at Penn State Harrisburg.
  • Involved
    in campus organizations and activities.
