Perimeter College
is looking for a dynamic, innovative team member to serve as the Academic Success Coach as part of the academic team within the Mathematics
department. This individual will administer individualized student assessments to at-risk students enrolled in introductory mathematics
courses, analyze assessment and performance data, and use the data to effectively employ professional academic coaching methodologies and
other strategies to equip students with enhanced non-cognitive skills leading to increased academic success and retention. This is a
regular, full-time position which involves on-campus and online duties, with job continuation dependent upon grant funding. This position is
on the Newton campus.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Administering individualized student assessments to at-risk students
    enrolled in introductory mathematics courses,
  • Analyzing assessment and performance data, and utilizing data to effectively employ
    ongoing professional academic coaching methodologies and other strategies to equip students with enhanced non-cognitive
    skills
  • Collecting and analyzing a variety of data, monitor student academic performance, collaborate with other team members to
    develop and deliver workshops and small group activities on issues related to academic success
  • Collaborating and coordinating with
    other college services and programs to foster a supportive and informed cross-functional approach to student support, and to model ethical
    behaviors
  • Moving to different classrooms, or offices on campus. Managing, at times transporting, various files related to the
    position
  • This position is located on the Newton campus of Perimeter College; A combination of on-campus and online hours
    required

Qualifications:
Minimum
Requirements:

  • Master’s degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related
    experience

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Higher Education, Academic Counseling, Psychology, or
    related field
  • At least two years of experience working in academic support services programs, academic or career advisor, or
    counseling low-income, academically under-prepared students in a non-profit or community service organization, postsecondary education
    setting
  • Advanced computer skills and experience with educational technologies, such as Blumen, Banner, or other student database
    systems
  • Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills
  • Understanding of / and sensitivity to multicultural
    differences/needs
  • Modeling ethical behaviors

Shift: 8:30AM – 5:15PM

Salary: $38,000 – $43,500

Pay Grade: 13

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
