ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:

USF Family Medicine, the best place to get care, to

Family Medicine is a department within the Morsani College of Medicine with faculty who teach medical
students, physician assistant students and pharmacy students; provide patient care at the USF Healthcare medical clinics and engage in
research into health disparities, sports medicine related injuries and chronic health conditions.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The
primary role of this Sr. Academic Program Specialist is to serve as the Primary Care Clerkship Coordinator (PCC-C). This person will
maintain the operations and scheduling for the PCC at the direction of the Clerkship Directors. The Primary Care Clerkship coordinator will
be expected to perform many tasks and will lead the communication of administrative and educational information to physicians, students, and
site-specific staff. The position will work in many different software platforms, to carry out functions; as well as will be responsible for
inputting and extracting critical data required for final grades and course evaluation required by the school’s accreditation body. The Sr.
Academic Program Specialist will also contribute to the overall education mission for the Department of Family Medicine as the primary
liaison to the Department of Medical Education.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists Clerkship Director(s) with all related duties and
documents for the clerkship, including leading meetings, prepping agendas and taking/recording minutes. Communicating efficiently and
effectively about student needs.

Medical Student Clerkship: Oversee third year medical students rotating through 8-week program.
Report to the Director of Clerkship for student education. Be available for student concerns and address them in timely manner.

Work
closely with the COM Department of Medical education, registrar’s office, and Office of Student Affairs encompassing various student issues.
Maintain extensive knowledge of university and community clinical sites & policies and procedures. Be able to interpret and apply them to
support students.

Supervise, administer and assist in grading student examinations. Staff supporting the academic program to fulfill
program support requirements.

Perform other administrative and analytical duties supporting the academic mission of the Family
Medicine department. Completes recruitment of Family Medicine community preceptors for medical student rotations.

Performs other
duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with
5 years of administrative experience. At least one year of experience must involve administrative or program support duties in an academic
department or college. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the general
administrative experience. This educational substitution does not apply to required year of experience in an academic
program.
