Position Summary:
Arts and Science is seeking an experienced
Undergraduate Program Administrator to join the Department of History. This individual will advise prospective and current undergraduate
students on requirements, curriculum planning, course scheduling, and registration. Provide administration of departmental awards and
support assessments for curricular development. Maintain a database of undergraduate student advisement and advise on student degree
progress and graduation clearance. Manage undergraduate course scheduling process for Fall, Spring, J Term and Summer. Coordinate honors
program process and advise on internships and independent studies. Oversee additional projects related to undergraduate student matters at
the request of the Director of Undergraduate Studies and the Department
Manager.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
Bachelor’s
Degree
Required Experience:
2+ years relevant experience or an equivalent combination. Must include experience
advising on program or service options and planning various activities and events.
Preferred
Experience:
Experience in a higher education environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and
Abilities:
Ability to provide advice, problem solve, and interact with individuals at all levels. Excellent interpersonal,
organizational, written and verbal communication skills,with attention to detail. Familiarity with Microsoft Word processing, Excel
spreadsheet and Access database software.
